Outside on the sidewalk today I played chicken with a pigeon. There was a moment when I wasn't sure if I was going to win.

Earlier, as I waited for the bus, I heard a woman screaming as she walked down the opposite sidewalk. As soon as she saw me, the word "bitch" became a part of her garbled tirade.
