2002-11-20 - 12:29 p.m. This photo reminds me of an embarassing, funny story. The archway connects two buildings, one of which (the one on the left) used to house the psych department. One day, after my stats class, I went upstairs to see if there was a way to access that area with the railing, overlooking Memorial Steps. I had my camera with me, and I needed to use up a few exposures before heading to the darkroom to develop some pictures for the Daily. On the third floor of Paige Hall, I found this tiny door that led outside. I felt like Alice in Wonderland as I climbed through, and once outside I spent a few minutes taking some pictures. When I went back to the little door, I was a bit alarmed to discover that it had locked behind me. Before I started to panic, I knocked on the door, and I remembered that the third floor of Paige looked awfully deserted. It was Friday, around lunchtime, and the few professors who had offices way up there weren't around. I looked across the archway to the windows of a philosphy classroom. Someone was waving at me, beckoning me towards her. I didn't want to disturb the class, so I signalled that it was alright, and I kept knocking on the little door. Still, no one answered, so I trudged over to the window, and climbed through. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" I kept saying as someone took my camera bag and the professor helped me through the window. I felt terrible about interrupting this woman's class, but she didn't seem to mind. "It happens all the time," she said. The students seemed amused, but not surprised; fortunately, I don't think I knew any of them. i'm such a shithead - 2005-03-01 back - 2004-01-25 t shirt fun - 2004-01-16 strange solution - 2004-01-14 south beach diet - 2004-01-12 © 2004 mine, not yours
